Hello everyone! My name is Bradleigh Duman, and I am currently a student at the Savannah College of Art and Design. My goal is to merge sustainability, fashion, and bold statement pieces into one cohesive vision. Much of my inspiration comes from my childhood growing up in Suffolk, Virginia, surrounded by lakes, forests, ponds, and the nearby ocean, as well as frequent trips to the mountains. Nature taught me to appreciate organic forms, texture, and imperfection. I spent my early years fishing, running barefoot through the yard, and learning to observe the world closely. At the same time, I always felt a strong creative pull. Knitting with my mom and learning basic sewing skills introduced me to making with intention and care. While in college, backpacking with my best friend and immersing myself in different cultures further shaped my perspective, furthering my desire to create work that reflects connection, curiosity, and shared experience across communities.
