Self-Serendipity is a project that embodies themes of solitude, reflection, and renewal. My intention was to create a piece that evokes a sense of serenity and offers the wearer a moment of peaceful escape. This work was developed in my Surface Embellishment course, where we were challenged to incorporate techniques learned throughout the quarter. I chose to focus on lapidary, which has since become a favorite of mine. The cabochons featured in this piece were hand-cut from Australian Chrysoprase.
