CHILD’S PLAY

My project Child’s Play explores textile swatches inspired by the act of creating from found objects during childhood. Drawing from memories of improvising materials as a kid, I transformed thrifted costume jewelry into textile swatches that bring together experimentation and imagination. The work is filled with bold color, texture, and movement, blurring the line between childlike play and adult sophistication. Each swatch embraces a sense of curiosity and freedom, inviting creativity without limitation. Through this project, I aim to emphasize play as an essential part of the creative process. One that is welcoming, expressive, and rooted in joy.
